Presenting Language with MPF and Checking Understanding with CCQs

This session is presented in two parts.

First, it introduces the concepts of Meaning, Pronunciation, and Form (MPF). Participants are presented with the theory of dividing new language into these categories and are given activities designed to practice presenting each one. At the end of part one, participants view a short video demonstrating these technique in practice.

Second, it presents the use of Concept Check Questions (CCQs) to check students’ understanding. Participants are given instructions and tips for creating CCQs and are given the opportunity to write their own.
