Exploiting Social Networks for your Institute

Exploiting Social Networks for your Institute

Emma Cresswell

This is a copy of a session given at the 2012 International House DoS Conference in London, England

This session looks at the role of social media within a language institute.

Social media has long been a part of our lives (for better or worse): being instantaneous and up-to-date, it is an ideal platform from which to communicate with our students, as well as the rest of the world.

The session will be looking at different ways to interact with students via social networks at administrative pedagogical levels, as well as looking at the manifest benefits for the institutes themselves of belonging to such networks.  Looking in particular at Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin.
